Mark Shields is a partner at October Three and an Account Manager on the defined benefit plan administration team. He has over 27 years of experience in the DB industry, with the last 12 years at October Three. Prior to joining October Three, he was Director of Defined Benefit Conversion at JP Morgan Retirement Plan Services. In his time at October Three, he has used his vast DB administration experience to streamline and improve the implementation and ongoing processes of numerous market-based cash balance plans on October Three’s cutting-edge technology. With his wide variety of retirement plan experience, Mark has partnered closely with clients to ensure that October Three’s DB administration is provided with high quality, timely responsiveness, and creative solutions that meet clients’ needs as a plan sponsor and the needs of their participants.

Mark is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) and a former Board Member of the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS). He received a BS in mathematics and an MBA from Baylor University.
